Four Common Types of Hydraulic Presses

In this article, DALI Machinery brings four common types and applications of hydraulic presses. They are four-column hydraulic press, single-column hydraulic press, horizontal hydraulic press and two-column hydraulic press.

.

The hydraulic press adopts the principle of Pascal's law, which uses the force of the fluid to operate. Generally, there will be three important parts in the hydraulic press: the machine, the power source and the hydraulic control unit. Most hydraulic machines use one or more oil pumps as the power unit, the machine uses a gear pump for low pressure applications up to 2.5mp, a vane pump for medium pressure applications up to 6.3mp, and a plunger pump for high pressure application, the maximum pressure is 32mp. Hydraulic presses reduce production costs and will increase strength and stiffness. In this article, DALI Machinery brings four common types and applications of hydraulic presses.

1. Four-column hydraulic press:

Four-column hydraulic presses are used for precision tooling applications. Four-column four-beam hydraulic presses, four-column three-beam hydraulic presses, and four-column two-beam hydraulic presses are the different categories available recently. These presses are highly recommended for applications where pressure is a major consideration. A four-column press will provide equal pressure distribution. The advantages of a four-column hydraulic press are flexibility, versatility, smooth transition, easy operation, quick installation and maintenance, and low cost.

2. Single-column hydraulic press:

Single row hydraulic press is also known as C frame hydraulic press. Because the main body of this press is a C-shaped single-arm structure. The advantages of single-column hydraulic presses are excellent rigidity, guiding properties, speed and high precision. The automotive, electronics, home and medical industries use C-frame hydraulic presses for sheet metal forming, plastic forming, bending, deep drawing and other applications. C-frame presses are convenient for small and medium equipment to take up space due to their small size.

3. Horizontal hydraulic press:

Rail straightening and contouring, plate straightening, punching, structure straightening and contouring, punching, etc. are important applications of horizontal hydraulic presses. This is a versatile machine whose parts can be assembled, disassembled, straightened, compressed, punched, etc. Standard horizontal hydraulic presses will include a unique hydraulic system to prevent overloading the machine. The press can be connected to different tools. The heavy duty cast iron body of this hydraulic press provides the longest life. The height of the workbench can be arranged according to the comfort of the worker.

4. Two-column hydraulic press:

According to the type of fluid used to transmit power, two-column hydraulic presses can be divided into hydraulic presses and hydraulic presses. Waterborne two-strut hydraulic presses are commonly used in forging and stamping applications. Durability, easy maintenance and operation are the main features of this press. Moreover, these presses can be customized to the worker's requirements by integrating other equipment.
