2K22 reintroduces its tried-and-true shot meter following the polarizing changes of last year, and I'm feeling like in general I'm making more open shots earlier in my character's progression than in the past. I think they've found something they should lean into. I'd like them to lean into this instead of offering us many of these ridiculous sponsored missions and side-missions on MyCareer. I mean, why is State Farm in this game? Should I buy insurance? What's the reason why MyPlayer seem to be more excited by basketball than rapping?
Those things are fine on occasion, but they're not the State Farm matter. That's completely bizarre. However, rapping, fashion, sneakers and other endorsements works in spots. The game ought to be less about the things mentioned above and more focused on the incredible basketball game we're playing.
