Precautions and guidelines for disposable syringes

When many doctors use syringes, they sometimes make some small mistakes in some ways, such as single package damaged and still used, irregular use, etc.

.

1. How the disposable syringe works

The disposable syringe consists of a barrel with a small hole at the front end and a matching plunger rod. Syringes are used to inject or extract small amounts of liquids or gases into or from otherwise inaccessible areas. When the mandrel is pulled out, the liquid or gas is sucked from the small hole at the front end of the disposable syringe, and the liquid or gas is squeezed out when the mandrel is pushed in. The process of drawing or injecting a gas or liquid with a syringe and needle is called an injection.

2. Precautions for Use of the Disposable Syringe

(1) It must be a qualified product produced by a regular manufacturer with an approval number;

(2) It is necessary to check whether the package of the  disposable syringe is in good condition before use and within the validity period, products with damaged packaging or beyond the validity period shall not be used;

(3) Strictly implement the system of "one needle, one tube, one use and one destruction";

(4) Put it into a puncture-proof safe collection container made of fixed materials after use, and hand it over for processing. Repeated use is strictly prohibited.

3. User guide

(1) Tear open the single packaging bag and take out the disposable syringe.

(2) Remove the protective cover of the injection needle, pull the core rod to slide back and forth, and tighten the injection needle.

(3) Then pump the liquid medicine, the injection needle is upward, and the core rod is slowly pushed up to remove the air.

(4) Subcutaneous or intramuscular injection or blood draw.

4. Application of the Disposable Syringe

(1) Syringes can also be used for medical equipment, containers, such as some scientific instruments in chromatography to inject through rubber diaphragms. Injecting gas into a blood vessel will cause an air embolism. The way to remove air from the syringe to avoid embolism is to turn the syringe upside down, tap it lightly, and squeeze out a little bit of fluid before injecting into the bloodstream.

(2) In some occasions where accuracy is not the primary consideration for germs, such as quantitative chemical analysis, the glass syringe is still used due to the small error of the glass syringe and the smooth movement of the push rod.

(3) You can inject some juice into the meat with a syringe to improve the taste and texture when cooking the meat, or inject it into the pastry when baking. Syringes can also fill ink cartridges with ink.

5. Development Trend of Syringe

Syringe, as an essential basic instrument in the medical process, its innovation is imperative. The syringe has also developed from the glass tube syringe that was repeatedly sterilized at the beginning to the current polypropylene disposable sterile syringe, and the function has also been developed from a single injection function to various uses, and various types of syringes have achieved no The principle of safe injection of bacteria. The use of syringes is not limited to the medical field, it is also widely used in chemistry and so on.
