The process used in printingtop sweatshirts

1. Water-based printing

Water-based printing is one of the earliest printingtop sweatshirt processes. The material used to print the pattern is a water-based paste, similar to the pigments or dyes used in painting.

can pass through to the fabric, while the place without the pattern can not penetrate, so that the pattern can be printed onto the fabric.

2. Gum paste printing

The basic process of gum paste printing is the same as water paste printing, but the material used is the gum paste pigment that will solidify on the fabric after drying. The most common printingtop sweatshirts on the market today are mostly printed with gum paste.

3. Ink printing

Ink printing is also known as heatset ink printing. It uses chemical ink as the printing material and requires temperature drying to solidify the ink onto the fabric, which requires the production of a printing plate that can be printed with a four-colour bumping screen to print coloured patterns, or a white background on dark fabrics before printing light-coloured patterns. Some of the cooler printingtop sweatshirts seen on the market are ink printed works!

4. Hot stamping and transfer printing

This is a technique that has only been developed at a later stage. It uses an intermediate medium (e.g. transfer paper), i.e. the pattern is first printed on specially coated transfer paper and then transferred to the fabric through pressure and temperature. The practical effect is the same as with ink printing, but the printingtop sweatshirts made with it are a little more accurate.

Features of the printingtop sweatshirt process

1. Water paste printing

Only one colour can be printed at a time, if you want to print a second colour, you must wait for the previous colour to dry before proceeding; you need to make a printing plate, and you cannot print light-coloured patterns on dark fabrics. The advantage is that the printedtop sweatshirt is breathable, but because the print is washed, the printingtop sweatshirt will be stiff.

2. Gum paste printing

Only one colour can be printed at a time, if you want to print a second colour you must wait for the previous colour to dry before proceeding; you need to make a printing plate; because gum paste is opaque, you can print light-coloured patterns on dark fabrics, but the printingtop sweatshirt made in this way has poor breathability.

3. Ink printing

The same as gum paste, with this method made of printingtop sweatshirt breathable performance is poor.

4. Hot stamping and transfer printing

This simplifies the production process of printingtop sweatshirts and facilitates the matching of designs on printingtop sweatshirts.
