Jingle arrives on your island after 5:00 AM local time on December 24th and stays until 5:00 AM local time on December 25th. He'll start off by giving you two quests, making holiday wrapping paper, and then asking you to give gifts to villagers. Once you do those two things, you will be rewarded. Step 1: Make Holiday Wrapping Paper
Talk to Jingle and he'll tell you that he forgot to wrap the villagers' presents, and will give you a recipe for DIY Holiday Wraps before asking you to make three. To craft these three items, you'll need a total of 3 Blue, 3 Yellow, and 3 Red charms.
How to Get Ornaments for DIY Recipes: From mid-December to early January, if you shake a festive Christmas tree on the island, it may drop only one ornament. You'll be able to use these decorations to create toy day decorations. It's hard to get these things to fall, so you may have to shake your tree a few times before one hits the ground.
Reward: After getting the three holiday wrapping papers, go back to Jingle and give them to him. As a reward, he'll give you a set of Toy Day stockings. Make sure to hang them in your house right away (more on that later).
Step 2: Give the toy to the villagers
Jingle will now give you the Magic Bag, aka Santa's Toy Bag, and ask you to deliver gifts to the villagers. You must deliver all gifts by 5am local time on December 25th, as the bells and magic bags will disappear by then. Run around and talk to your villagers. They can be anywhere on the island, including at home, in the store, or walking around outside.
There's no need to dress up like Santa: you don't have to wear a red hat if you don't want to, and your villagers will know the presents are from Santa when they see the magic bag. But getting dressed can also be part of the fun. If you need these clothes, you can buy them from Able Sisters, but only if they are in stock.
Your villagers aren't picky: Unlike previous Animal Crossing games, you don't have to choose what gifts to give them; Magic Bag lets you automatically pick the right gift for each neighbor.
Exchange gifts with villagers
In addition to giving Santa gifts on December 24th, you can also exchange gifts with villagers as you wish. To do this, just buy some wrapping paper (or make some) from Nook's Cranny's Green Cupboard and wrap what's in your current inventory; even a rock will do. Once the gifts are wrapped, give them to your villagers.
